Angry.

I'm...
...
...
ANGRY!

So angry I can barely write this post! Let alone draw it.

I can barely hold it in - I don't know how much longer I can contain this anger!!!

GRRR I'M SO ANGRY!!

I won't say, because it will only get me angrier.

When I'm in a mood like this I have one piece of advice for you. That piece of advice is very simple.
Stay out of the line of fire.

If you walk into the line of fire, you will be burned. Some of my friends fail to recognise it when it's happening. They forget that the line of fire doesn't discriminate - it will destroy all in its path.

You have now been warned.

Whether that involves being literally burned or just metaphorically speaking I'm never really sure - especially in blackout mode. Either you end up with 3rd degree burns or you'll just be highly offended/mentally scarred after receiving some top notch slander.

Please don't take it personally.

I try to use strategies to reduce my anger. Many people have different ways to cope with anger. Here are a few strategies I use (they can be fantasies or actions I carry out in reality):

I like to imagine I'm really really big (bigger than I already am) and crush a city.

Launch a couple of missiles at... well pretty much anything.

Eat a massive... stream of food.

Bring out the inner ninja and just go absolutely nuts.

Write a hate-fuelled email/status post/blog post.

Say a whole bunch of swear words that would even make a delinquent blush (in public).

Punch whoever made you angry (or just some random) in the face.

Or cry in the arms of my future handsome, tall, rich, doctor husband.

But whilst most of these fantasies seem near impossible (except the last one), it never hurts to imagine it. Sort of.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some things to blow up and some cities to destroy...

Who Put the Ass in ASSignment?

Have you ever had to endure moments like these?

If you have ever had to experience anything remotely similar to these moments then you will already know what I am talking about. Yes... I'm talking about one of the most hated words in the world of university.

Ok. Ok. So I used to enjoy doing assignments. I found they were much less stressful than the 'e-word' (*cough* EXAMS *cough*). Furthermore, you found out your results during the semester, rather than at the end. PLUS you can also see where you went wrong when your assignment was returned, therefore you can find new ways to improve for the next assignment. Whilst the points I have made are still valid, as of late I have found an increasingly noticeable problem that makes me want to throw things... heavy things... SHARP things.

So when it comes to writing assignments for me I have a system which is similar to most people. There are just a few things that I might do differently compared to some. So far this system has served me well throughout my 2 and a half years at university.

This is all well and good... when it works. If there is a glitch in the plan however, things can go terribly wrong - fast. And this glitch always tends to happen at the same point.

See? Shit.
Trying to research relevant articles for an assignment is like watching Kristen Stewart stutter for five hours.
You see, it's not just a simple matter of typing relevant words into a search engine like Google. No. This stuff must be peer reviewed. You can't use information found on Wikipedia or anything like that. The information you get must come from certain journal articles via a university library's database. Which is what I use. Whilst this is sounding all well and good so far, trying to FIND relevant information on the database is a nightmare.
For example:

And even if you find a relevant article which contains heaps of juicy-juicy information, 9/10 times it's too old to use (I can't use articles which are older than 2004).
I told my teacher for this particular assignment I'm doing I was struggling to find relevant articles. Her response was:

They're not really much help.
I still have to keep looking up and researching those articles. Separate what is good information and what is 'why-the-hell-would-anyone-wanna-know-or-write-about-that' information. I can't really rely on the selection of books from the library either. For one thing, most of them are out of date. Secondly:

And some smell funny. All reasons as to why I avoid hiring books from the library (haven't done it at all throughout my course...).

All in all, once the massive hurdle of researching is out of the way I can usually knock out an assignment in two days. I'm also the type of person who likes to work under pressure. That would explain why my next assignment is due in 6 days and I'm writing/drawing up this post instead. Don't worry about me though peeps, I can type out 3,000 words in one sitting (when I'm writing one of my stories and am on a roll...).
Besides, for this assignment in particular, I'm quite confident that I have found all the references I need. Teehee.

So for those of you who have found yourself in a similar situation to mine (and I know you are out there) no matter how difficult and pointless it may seem at the time, these assignments are important, so don't stress and take your time when researching. EVENTUALLY something will come up. Remember, we are doing all of this to better ourselves.

Keep up the study people... and wish me luck on my assignment! D:

PS. What shall I be doing after I post this blog? Do you really need to guess?

Everyday I'm Shopping

Hello, hello.
For this post I've decided it would suit better if I were to use my manga form instead of my chibi form. Please bare with me.
So, shopping. Some say it's a girls best past time. Some say that it's a form of therapy. Others believe that it's similar to a sport.

I believe that IT'S A PSYCHOLOGICALLY CHALLENGING BATTLE OF WITS TO THE DEATH!!!!
 Caption: "NOO MAKE IT END!"

Allow me to elaborate.
So you go into a shopping complex with hopes of finding the perfect outfit, the latest movie, a decent bargain or you just want to have a look around. For me, there are many things which intefere with these seemingly simple tasks.
For example, the crowds,
the death glares you receive sometimes from the retail assistant - as though it's a crime you set foot in the store,
mannequins that make you feel fat,
people who unnecessarily push you out of the way (sometimes injuring you in the process),
items which are of poor quality and ridiculously over-priced,
"sale items" (items that are still considerably over-priced and twice as hideous),

and the occasional parent who misjudges the size of their massive pram and has no hesitation in running you over if you happen to be within the vicinity of them.
Now, I'm a tall girl. I'm 180cm tall (the chibi form doesn't really show it). For those of you who are like me and love to wear dresses - I feel your pain. Has this ever happened to you?
Let me tell you, nothing is more disappointing when you try on a dress in your size - AND IT'S INSANELY SHORT! I can't stand it - it's happening more frequently now. What is this? Season for the shorties? Why can't the disigners take into account the HEIGHT of people? Aren't models supposed to be tall? Or do they just design the clothes for the models assuming they don't bend over! We're not all 5 feet tall!
Anyway, moving on. Due to the amount of bad luck you've experienced at the shopping centre - hours have gone by, you haven't bought anything yet, you're emotionally and physically drained and you're really regretting your choice in footwear - you then find the food court.
It's at this point where you're about to hit rock bottom. You had all these expectations of finding some great item and you end up disappointed and miserable (and blowing your diet).

But here is where you mustn't be rash. Don't you DARE go and buy something just for the sake of spending some of your hard earned cash. Sometimes when you have shopped for hours and haven't bought anything some items may seem better than they appear...
DON'T DO IT.
Save your money. You have been around all the shops and if there's nothing you fancy don't be upset. Wait a few weeks and come back. Decent items you desired but were too expensive will go on sale, new stock will come in and may suit your taste more, there are SOME dresses with a bit of length on them (you can always disguise it as a top if you can't bear to part with it), and most of all - have a positive attitude!! Don't be phased by the things you don't have - and don't set your expectations too high either!
Good luck, happy shoppers!
I think I'll use my manga form again sometime soon, it was pretty fun drawing it :3
